Tuna Burgers with Red Onion Salsa - serves 4 Preparation - 25 minutes, cooking time - 10 minutes For the Salsa: 1 red onion, diced
For the burgers: 14 oz fresh tuna
Begin by making the salsa: stir all the ingredients together, and set aside at room temperature for at least an hour. Place the tuna in a food processor and pulse until coarsely ground. Mix with the wasabi paste, sesame seeds, and some salt and pepper. With damp hands, shape the mixture into 4 even-sized burgers. Dust the burgers in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess. Stir fry for 4 minutes on each side until golden brown and just cooked through. Be careful not to overcook them or they will quickly become dry. Place the tuna on the toasted ciabatta and top with a dollop of the salsa. Garnish with slices of fresh lime and serve warm. |
